The Ghost Hunter's Getaway Conference (GHGC) is an annual conference hosted by the Pacific Northwest paranormal research group AGHOST (Advanced Ghost Hunters of Seattle-Tacoma). The GHGC will take place on November 3rd and 4th 2007 at the Western Washington University (Arntzen Hall) in Bellingham, Washington. The conference is held over a two-day period, and is accompanied by other events such as workshops, ghost tours, guest speakers, and paranormal investigations at Bellingham's local haunts. Presentations are 50-minute formal presentations that may include slides or other media.
Fairhaven was a boom town in the late 1800's with a population as large as it is today. Fairhaven was hoping to become a big hub city in the Northwest. Left: Arntzen Hall, at WWU in Bellingham; Below: Fairhaven Neighborhood
It is AGHOST Events Coordinator Sheri Davis' hard work and dedication that is going to make this years GHGC such a success. For the newsletter I asked Sheri what is going to be special about this years GHGC. "I am very excited about this years AGHOST conference. Bellingham is a very historically interesting area of Washington and a perfect spot for a ghost hunter’s conference. This year unlike others we have had in the past the conference cost is all inclusive. Our speakers are all top notch and we have a great lectures and workshops spread out over the two days." Sheri has also managed to book an exciting tour guide to walk us through historical Fairhaven and all its haunts. And the Bay view Cemetery expedition as always will exceed expectations with our cemetery expert Madeline Clayton at the helm. Best of all we have a great location that BOO has helped us to reserve for our evening investigation! If you are a online or regular member of AGHOST join us on Friday night at Dirty Dan Harris Bar (on the second floor) for an exciting meet and great wit hour speaker and a private night walk of Fairhaven. Again special thanks to Sheri Davis for making everything come together for this fun and informative fun raising event! For more information about our conference or for information about our club and other activities visit www.aghost.org.
The Boeing Expo was great this year for AGHOST. There was a good turn out and we able to meet several new people and educate them on what we do and how we can help. We look forward to next years Expo! Check out the Boeing Employee's Parapsychology Club website to learn more about this interesting group.
