FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What do ghost hunters do?
Observe and collect data in the pursuit of evidence of paranormal activity.

2. What equipment do we use?

There is a wide range of technical equipment used in the pursuit of ghostly activity. You can start off simple with a camera, either digital or 35mm. You may want to invest in an audio recorder with external microphone in the hopes of picking up Electronic Voice Phenomena.

Some higher end tools are EMF(Electromagnetic Field Detectors), infrared temperature probes, video cameras, and motion cameras. To learn more about equipment visit our Technology section of the website.

3. Are ghosts bad?
No, that is a big misconception. For the most part, ghosts are very docile and don't bother anyone at all, especially if they are treated with respect. There are those ghosts however that are grumpy at times and can make you feel uncomfortable, but a ghost is not bad and will not harm you.

4. How much does it cost?
For the basic tools and ghost hunting gear, you can look to spend anywhere from $50 to $250.

5. How do I get rid of ghosts?
You could simply ask them to leave. If that doesn't work, you can consult a psychic who can cleanse a house or a priest if necessary.

6. Are we ghostbusters?
Nope, no proton packs for us! We do not get rid of ghosts. We are strictly into collecting data, observing haunted environments, and documenting reported encounters.

7. What are ghosts?
One idea is that they are spirits of those that were once alive. Other ideas go into people from the future, extraterrestrials, or people from alternate dimensions.

8. Do you ever get scared?
Most of the time we only end up scaring ourselves through our imaginations. In the field, your senses are alert with anticipation, so the slightest noise can startle you.

9. What is a haunting?
By definition a haunting is a place frequented by ghosts.

10. Are there different types of hauntings?
Yes. Residual, Poltergeist, Actual. Residual is energy that continues to replay over and over like a record skipping on a record player. A poltergeist is often mistaken as a ghost, when in fact is it is most likely latent psychokinesis of a person going through a hormonal change. An actual haunting is where an intelligent entity can both manipulate the real world environment and has the ability to communicate with living people.
